Common questions
Ghosts appear in the wrong direction, or I have to point at the ceiling. Your phone's compass needs calibrating. Open the scanner, tap the compass button and turn a full circle. If it reports interference, move away from magnets and metal (magnetic cases, card holders) and wave the phone in a figure-8 a few times.
Moving to a new phone. On the old phone, open the Lab → Field Backup and save your recovery code (Share code). On the new phone, open the Lab → Field Backup → Restore from code. Restoring replaces the new phone's progress.
"Signal recalibrating" and I can't capture. The app saw a jump in your position that no real travel could explain, which usually means a GPS glitch or a location-spoofing app. Captures unlock again after a few minutes; real travel between sessions never triggers it.
No ghosts nearby. Entities rotate every 15 minutes. Try moving a block or two, wait for a rift to open, or check the sector map (layers button on the radar).
