Delete your account and data
For Spirit Compass by Cognision
Spirit Compass only creates a cloud account if you turn on Field Backup. The account is anonymous: it has no name, email or password. You can delete it at any time.
In the app
- Open the Lab.
- Find Field Backup.
- Tap Delete cloud data, then tap it again to confirm.
This deletes your account from our server straight away. Your game on the phone stays, and no new account is created unless you turn Field Backup on again.
Without the app
Email hello@cognision.eu with the subject "Delete my Spirit Compass data" and include your recovery code (Lab → Field Backup → Recovery code). Because the account is anonymous, the recovery code is the only way we can find it. We delete it within 30 days and reply when it's done.
What is deleted
- Your anonymous account and its access token
- The cloud copy of your save
- Your last coarse area (a ~2 km map cell)
- Your seals in breach raids
What is kept: nothing that links to you. A breach raid you helped contain keeps its own record (seal count and when it ended) until it's deleted 7 days after the raid. Server access logs, which contain IP addresses, are deleted automatically after 14 days.
On your phone: your game and settings stay on the device until you uninstall the app or clear its data.
